What made me choose this Beachbody over the other programs, besides the visible results and numerous options to select, is the convenience of it at such a reasonable price. I will get down to all the details and the programs, but first, let us understand the concept of Beachbody on Demand.
Beachbody is a trademark workout program that combines fitness, nutrition, products and lifestyle tips that aims in improving the overall well-being of people all around the world through live streaming of workouts.
Initially, the programs were sold in DVDs that was accessible on a weekly or monthly basis. But now, with the advancement in technology, you can live stream everything without stacking on the DVDs and risk losing or spoiling them.
It doesn’t matter what body goals and training programs you are looking for you will find something that suits your preference from the hundreds of workout programs available online.
Beachbody on Demand is a new app that can be downloaded on any computer, laptop, tablet or smartphones. You access the workouts using your Beach Body on Demand login.
Once logged in, you can access the programs anywhere, anytime as long as you have an internet connection. You can work out with it at the convenience of your home, at work, outdoors or even start your exercise club with others aiming for the same goal!
You can also workout offline by downloading the program and saving it. This makes it convenient for use even when you are traveling in remote destinations with poor network signal.
The latest addition from the older version is the live interactions. You can connect directly to a Beachbody coach for live chats and Q&A sessions. Now, you won’t have to Google search for answers to clear your doubts about any health-related queries. This makes it easier to select a personalized routine and pick what works best for your improvement.
I tried subscribing to different YouTube channels and following several routines, but I could not stay motivated enough to make it a lifestyle. The programs got boring and my diet plan became ineffective.
I’ve heard of Beachbody since the early 2000s, so I visited the website and did my little research. They seemed to offer a lot of features that I was looking for: meal prep videos, personal workout routine, interactive trainers, training records and offline accessibility when there is no internet connection because I travel to a lot of remote places.
Keeping the story short, I have been following and switching up the workout programs for four years now and has met many others who do the same. We have interactions and compare our results and suggest new ways to help improve the program.
I have even suggested others to follow the Beachbody, and I have joint a workout buddy group where I meet interesting people of different goals and experiences.
I have had so many feedback and questions, so to reach out to everyone and make the task of answering everything you wanted to know about Beachbody on Demand, here I am, doing a comprehensive and unbiased review about this program that has helped me shape my body and my lifestyle.
Besides the obvious need to stay motivated to live a healthy lifestyle, I was impressed by the commitment of the Beachbody team to cover all aspects of making workouts a fun and easy experience.
When I compared their programs, features, and price for the subscription, I knew it was a good investment. I was not very familiar with the company, but it was eye-opening to know that it was Beachbody that came up with all these workout programs that we see in other fitness programs.
Some of the popular Beach Body on Demand programs originally established by Beachbody are:
There are over 60 programs that have transformed the lives of millions of people across the globe. All these programs were set by professionals who have dedicated their lives to establishing and improving people’s lives.
Imagine stacking all these programs on a DVD? That’s a lot, right? Well, Beachbody has made it easier to access these programs by squeezing them all into one platform online, all at the convenience of a swipe or a click of a button. Since there are so many to choose from, Beachbody on Demand has also earned its name as the Netflix of Workouts.
Once you have subscribed to the program, you will immediately be able to watch them from any online platforms. This means you will no longer have to wait for your monthly or weekly subscriptions to arrive on the mail or keep the DVDs lying around or losing them.
This nutrition and fitness program is a home-based program, so you don’t need to worry about going to the gym, competing with people, sharing sweaty gym equipment or waste time going to the gym. It saves you time and money by eliminating the need for gym memberships.
The thing about joining a gym is that once you register, sometimes you feel lazy to go at the allotted time and it makes you feel guilty. If you are not 100% dedicated to going for every session, that inconsistency could cost you because you are not getting your money worth of exercises.
I was ecstatic that I did not need to go to a gym or meet a trainer because it gave me the freedom to pick when and where I wanted to work out.
When you log into the app, you will instantly see all the workout programs that they offer like the Body Beast, Turbo Jam, Rev Abs, Hip Hop Abs, etc. You can sign in to the programs that suit your requirement and start working on them.
If you are not signed in to a particular workout program, you can do a Challenge Du Jour or challenge of the day and follow a challenge that is set for that day. It could vary for each person because your feed will be personalized according to your goals when you sign in.
As stated earlier, all the programs are taught by professional trainers. If you feel that you prefer a specific type of trainer, you can go to their plans and view all of their workout routines. For example, if you like the 21 day Fix program, you can click, and all the videos by the trainer will immediately play for your access.
Each Beachbody Club member gets a personal Coach to help you set goals and motivate you in achieving with no additional charges. These coaches are always available and will help you make better choices throughout your journey towards your goals.
With every program, there is also a Program Materials that document your progress.
The Start Guide tell s you everything you need to know about that program, when you should start and how to begin.
It has a Tally Sheet that you can print out. It also features a workout Calendar that tells you exactly what to do on what days
The Program material also includes a Food Plan. It that shows you a list of food you should be eating, what proportions and how often you should eat while you are training in that program.
There are sample meal plans, grocery list and other materials that will help you plan your meals. You will also be getting a meal plan that will help you prepare your meals for the week to help you stay on track. You will also be getting portion sizes based on your health and fitness goals, which is important because each person has unique nutritional requirements.
They also have a cooking show called “Fixing” where you can learn how to cook delicious food with the perfect portions so you can always prep up a healthy and clean meal.
In addition to this, you will also get thousands of recipes to follow along and make the workout even more concentrated. I enjoy cooking so this was a huge bonus. I can now prepare fresh and delicious meals throughout the year and not worry about the calories.
Like Netflix, Beachbody offers exclusive programs for subscribers. These programs are available only on Beachbody on Demand and nowhere else. The exclusive programs are an extension of the tried-test-success programs that were released to the masses. These extra content and materials such as Beachbody Yoga Studio, 21 Day Fix, Plyo Fix, 21 Fix Extreme, etc. which will challenge you further.
Beachbody on Demand features WOWY Online SuperGym that allows you to join groups and live chat with other Beachbody members. You exercise with your workout buddies, track and schedule your workout and build accountability to your routine.
You will also have access to reading materials on the blog or watch inspirational videos. This addition helps to keep you motivated and inspired by people with similar stories. It could also motivate you to transition to different ventures and make money while progressing through your routine.
By interacting with other Beachbody members, you also get to learn pro tips on how to improve your routine, diet, and nutrition and even get updated on the latest fitness news.
Beachbody on Demand has been an incredible all-access workout program for me and millions of people around the world. While I am still rooting for and staying loyal to the program, I have to be honest; there are some features that make me question my subscription sometimes.
I have mentioned the ups, and now here are some brutally harsh realities of being a member of Beachbody on Demand.
Everything that you are watching or reading on Beachbody on Demand requires internet access. All the workout programs are pre-loaded and to view those videos you need speed internet. It can get frustrating when you really want to feel those workout burns but you cannot load a video, and you are bored with the old ones.
Relying on speed internet for all your access also kills the mood when you are at a place with poor internet connection. Of course, you can pre-download the programs and save them to watch later, but with no access to the internet, there is still going to be some buffering. The need for high-speed internet reduces spontaneity and reduces motivation.
This makes me wonder if the DVD programs were a better choice? Maybe get some DVDs as a backup plan? If your answer is yes, I guess the concept of Beachbody on Demand failed here.
Another concern I have with Beachbody on Demand was the amount of data it was consuming for each video! Since the app is available on all mobile platforms, I tend to use it a lot on my phone, and I don’t usually turn off my mobile data. Once I stream a video, it uses my mobile data instead of the wifi connection and drains it quickly. Since I like watching in HD, mobile data drains even faster.
So if you have limited mobile data, you have to be very selective of the programs you watch, and that is the privilege I did not like to restrict myself even though mobile viewing is so much more convenient.
Just when I thought I had everything at my reach for the rest of my life or a year at least, I realized that Beachbody on Demand is an effective rent. Everything you have access to is not yours to keep. There are various subscription offers, so your access depends on that.
I was devastated to lose all my program materials during my first 6-months subscription. Not being able to access it that morning made me feel like I had wasted a whole day.
The company cuts your access as soon as you stop paying membership fees. I was frustrated, but the benefits were too good to lose, so I subscribed again. Had it been a DVD, the concerns of losing membership or access to the program do not arise. Once you buy it, you keep it for as long as you wish to
As stated before, I am staying loyal to Beachbody on Demand because I have found a whole world of fitness and nutrition program that fits my goals. Despite my positive experience, there are other alternatives you can try.
Beachbody on Demand is in close competition with Daily Burns, and even though their concept is the same, there are noticeable differences in the features they provide. They have a better-advanced marketing strategy and more collaboration with other companies, but Daily Burns is still no match for Beachbody on Demand.
One reason why Beachbody on Demand stays ahead of Daily Burns is the multiplicity of programs in the library. What’s more impressive is that each program comes with an accompanying diet plan with a schedule.
The quality of the video also exceeds other companies because they have intensifiers, modifiers and subtitles, and different audio tracks. You can also view or switch between two workouts at a time.
Other mentionable alternatives and competitors of Beachbody on Demand are:
My fitness by Jillian Michaels
Sweat: Kayla Itsines Fitness
8Fit workouts and Meal Planner
Although these programs do not measure up to the features offered by Beachbody, they are cost-effective and more equally accessible. However, if you want a whole lifestyle change, I would still recommend Beachbody on Demand.
Before you go and click the subscribe button, here is a better understanding of the cost-effectiveness of Beachbody on Demand.
If you want to try it for yourself without paying, you can subscribe to the 14-day Beach Body on Demand free trial. You will have put out your credit card details but won’t be charged for the 14 days. If you don't cancel after your 14 days trial is over, you will automatically be charged $39 for three months full access to Beachbody programs.
If you feel that changing your plan every three months is a hassle, you can also subscribe to their Semi-annual Plan at $59 for six months.
Or, if you want to sign up for an annual plan, that gives you full access to all the programs for a whole year, you can switch to the Annual Plan at just $99 and save up to $57 per year.
Paying $57/year means you are paying about $8.98 per month to have access to a virtual gym where you can practice all types of workout such as Yoga, MMA, cardio, dance and anything you can imagine.
The Beach Body on demand yearly membership obviously saves you a little bit of money, but my thought is check out the free trial or just pick-up 3 months if you don’t want a longer commitment.
Finding legit Beach Body on Demand reviews can be a hard thing to come by. Everyone’s goals and aspirations are not the same, and my experience could differ from yours so let me know what your thoughts are.
Or, if you have any questions, drop down on the comment sections, and I would be happy t get back to you.
